The number of older adults who need care giving will more than double over the next few decades as America's population ages. Aging baby boomers comprise both the largest and the longest-lived group of older persons in human history; they will live 20 to 30 years longer than the previous generations, with more chronic diseases than any preceding generation.
Concurrently, due to changing social dynamics, there will be a shrinking number of family members or paid caregivers available to care for them.

WHY IS OUR JOB SO IMPORTANT........?
A caregivers job and/or PCP's job is one of profound importance on a daily basis. Caregivers/PCP's take care of very special people with very different needs. Therefore they need to be taught and conduct themselves in a way that they can exercise professionalism, when taking care of residents or private clients. Chances are you might become a member of a care team at a hospital, or remain a private caregiver specializing in IN-HOME-CARE.
Since there is a variety of care giving involved in most families, the knowledge of this care has to be intensely studied, as caregivers are expected to care for someone's father, mother or child, that have illnesses beyond the normal healthy young individual.
Our manuals and classes will provide communication skills, basic medical terminologies and examples of legal and ethical behaviors that one must be familiar with when caring for a patient/client. Skills learned will be professionalism and professional behavior at the work place as well as basic descriptions of a PCP/Caregiver codes of ethics to common chronic and acute conditions!!
You will be taught what a care team is, who you will take orders from and how you can follow a care plan delegated by your professional care team.
